House
We bought the house in December 2000, and started immediately ripping it apart. A fixer-upper from the start, the house is a 1924 craftsman bungalow style home that had probably seen better days. I have tried to look around and see if this house was once possibly a kit home but there have been no real indicators inside of the house, except for the door stoop, which had a label from Sears.
Shortly after ripping into the house, I set up the housechronicles.org blog to track our progress during the renovation. It went through quite a few iterations over time, the last of which ended in 2006. The image above is the banner for the final design of the site, at which point (in January 2009) I merged all of the posts from the housechronicles site into this one.
